ALES is not required for non-thesis master’s programs for Turkish applicants.
Graduates of 4-year Bachelor’s programs in Mathematics, Mathematics-Computer, all Engineering and Natural Science departments
ALES or equivalent GRE/GMAT is not required for Master’s programs with and without thesis and for Ph.D. programs for foreign applicants.
Foreign language is not required for Master’s programs in Turkish but it is a prerequisite for Master’s programs in English and Ph.D. programs.
Minimum scores for English are in terms of YDS. The minimum score for YDS is 50. Equivalent scores from following exams are also acceptable: YÖKDİL, TOEFL, UDS, TOEFL IBT, CAE, CPE, and PEARSON PTE Academic. Equivalence table for these exams is available at OSYM website. Home Edition exams are not accepted.
The English proficiency exam held by Çankaya University is also accepted for Master’s programs by all applicants and for Ph.D. programs by foreign applicants. Çankaya graduates from undergraduate programs in English are exempt from English requirement for Master’s programs.
